Mitch Evans lives in Atlanta, Georgia and has been a professional sportscaster and writer for more than 20 years. A native New Yorker who attended Arizona State University before earning his Journalism degree from Brooklyn College, Mitch got his first job in the industry at 1010 WINS radio. Four years later he headed South and got married to his wife of now almost 25 years, Randi.

Over the years, Mitch has put together a broad and extensive media background, including stints at CNN Sports, 790 The Zone, 640 WGST, 680 The Fan, the Atlanta Journal Consitution, and USA Today. He has also dabbled in various other vocations, including baker, jeweler, recruiter, and salesman.

Mitch joined Suite 101 in June, 2011 as a Contributing Writer.

When he's away from the microphone or keyboard, Mitch is most likely shooting hoops, tending to his plants, or cooking something in the kitchen.
